You got a tremendous deal, my friend. Don't let your wife get too attached to it.:D
I bought an L-3010, bucket, 4' bush hog and trailer last year for $12,000. it was a 2000 with 400 hours on it. The 1970 bush hog did die...(pan rusted out) but they are fairly inexpensive so I replaced it with a 5' and am happy.
Enjoy, you'll be amazed at how much it will do.

Congrats on a very sweet deal. Encouraging news for me - I've been looking quite some time and just know that perfect deal is out there somewhere...

I did a quick calculation of a "good price" for the items as I read your list. I came up with $14k for a gear drive, and $14.8k for HST... whichever it is I would say you got a great deal.

It is a HST, my B7500 is gear drive and it is going to take some getting used to the HST. I keep wanting to push the clutch to stop, then I finally start getting used to not pushing and I forget to push it when I tried to engage the PTO..:laughing:

Yeah my wife loves our B7500 and she fights me to mow the grass with it. Going to take both of us some time to get used to the pull behind mower. I did a little mowing with it this morning and it all seem to work really well.

Can't get out and enjoy it to much today, it is about 113 degrees here right now. I don't want to over heat the tractor.. :D

What I found works for me on the Hydro is put your foot flat on the top of the pedal for normal movements that require a lot of quick back and forth, like loader work just rock your ankle back and forth. for moving longer distances then put your heel on the floor and use the short L shaped portion of the pedal with the toe of your foot. Of course dont forget your cruise control for moving long distances and you want to rest you foot, like when mowing. Hope this helps.

The old saying "it's worth what you're willing to pay for it" may not apply to your deal because it is worth more than you paid. At the very least, you may have redefined "worth"!

I would say its just an O.K. deal, unless they threw in the owl that was guarding the trailer. If they threw in the owl, it was a great deal.

Seriously, I'd agree, it might be the deal of a year.
