Finally! After four years shes all mine. Will I be getting anything "official" from NH? A title would be great but I suspect thats not the norm with equipment.

I don't know of any state that issues a title for a tractor (though there might be one I don't know about). But when you financed that machine you signed some papers. The original of those papers, marked or stamped "PAID" should be returned to you, although with most companies, it might be another month or two before you receive them.

That's it Bird. NH sent me the PAID note and told me what a good customer I was and how they would love to sell me something else.;)

Same here: last payment was mid-Sep and the PAID loan papers arrived ~ 2 weeks ago. With a brochure about the newer tractors.

It continues to amaze me: in OH we agonize over paperwork on a $200 junk truck but you buy & sell $5-figure farm & construction equipment via a hand-written bill-of-sale.

Congrats!
Personally I would not want the issuing agency to submit a title though. Just another "tax" or "fee" the states would try and stick you with. The original loan papers stamped and singed "paid" is all you need.

Wow a 4 year tractor payment. Mine was paid off the day I bought it!!

I guess with the high price of tractors I can understand financing them, I really don't understand folks that finance ATV's for 4-5 years. But they are getting pretty expensive these days to.

$20k!? That calcs to 47% interest! NH gave me 2.9% which was hard to pass up. Of course they offered 0% soon after my purchase!
