Holy crap! Who is that? Is that just a picture you got off Google?

Lol I'm proud to say I don't know this guy. Saw it posted on Facebook the other day posted on construction F$@k up's the other day. I'm thinking he probably doesn't have any tire ballast. I would never let him use my equipment

Don't get too short of forks, less than 42". The pallets they are building in my area are really crap, 1/2" slats and 1" runners. A short set of forks will not run completely through a pallet and when you curl your forks they will raise and break the slat and puncture your bags of seed or pellets.

This is too expensive of a mistake, especially on seed. The pallets are of such poor quality that they are not worth reusing and yet they are loading 2,000 lbs on them. Just getting them home increases the pucker factor. Don't use short forks on pallets! MY2 cents.

48" work well for pallets of feed, and like mentioned, will not break inside of pallet. My only reason for wanting longer ones on my m 6040 is to have a better view of what is going on . I can't see crap with my current setup but if I go any longer then I will be through a normal stack of feed and bigger risk of ripping others. Was just really disappointed in front view when moving from Tc40da to m6040, but not enough to go back. Good lick

Excellent point CMBERTRAND. My forks are 48" and I have a hard time with visibility on my L4600. If I had 60" forks I could probably see the tips while seated but that would lead to all kinds of problems with spearing what's behind the skid I'm working on.

OP try an auction such as Ritchie Brothers (there is one in Albuquerque). I bought a set of 42" forks there. wish i had a set of 48" but for the price I can't complain

I bought a grapple from palletforks.com and they are a big warehouse just outside of Memphis. they are really good people. I asked a bunch of questions about it before I bought it and they got right back with me. the price was really good also.

I have 42" forks and would not care for any longer. I slightly bent one of the forks not from being loaded but by catching it on a tree backing out of a tight area. I was impressed with the amount of brush I can pickup in one load even with these "short" forks.

I bought 42" forks from Titan. I'm 6'2'' and can't quite see the end of the forks while in the seat. i think I could if I had the 48'' forks. Then again I'd probably hit more trees in the woods with the longer ones. There is always a tradeoff. The 42s do work fine for pallets though.

We have/do sell tons of those CA Pallet Forks. They have a rated lift capacity of 1,800 pounds, but only weigh 220 pounds, so they're great for compact/subcompact tractors.
For the record, Construction Attachments now builds them like their heavier forks, mounted on a traditional style forklift rail.
