Pallet forks for LA463

I dropped by a Kubota dealer a few weeks ago to look at an L3400, and while there I talked to a salesman about a particular setup. One of the items that's an absolute must for me is a set of pallet forks. After looking through his rather thick binder of spec/price sheets, the salesman said that there weren't any available for the LA463 loader.

I assume he just means that Kubota doesn't make the forks? Surely that loader bucket is removable like other brands? I'm not looking for anything fancy (thus my interest in an L-series machine), so I don't need hydraulic quick-change implements or anything like that. I just want to be able to pull the bucket off and put on some forks.

Any info would be appreciated.

Check out ATI. They have special sizes for all FELs.

Ron is right. ATI Corporation has pallet forks available for many smaller loaders. These forks will not be any cheaper than full-sized, but they are available.

I just bought an L3400 with loader and BH. I don't think the loader is removable, I'll have to give it a closer look. I've got 8 hours of hard work on it, and I love it. However, if you get a BH 75 check the linkage bolts (handles to hydraulic solenoids) for tightness or use locktight, they were all loose and one came off in the first 10 minutes of use.

Hi, I bought a used L3710 last full. I told the salesman that I needed forks. For an extra $750 I swapped my bucket for a woods HD 72" bucket, an ATI skidsteer type quick disconnect and a real nice set of adjustable forks. I don't know if that's a great deal but it sounded OK to me. I have not regretted that decision at all.
