Pallet forks for your tractor

I am needing a set to use intermittently at this point. I dont want to buy the cheapest unit I can on E-bay but not sure I need to spend several hundred either.

What have you guys had luck with?

I need to move a large compressor and a very heavy toolbox at this point from one shipping container to another thru the sand. Im thinking that when I start building my home Im gonna find more uses for them such as moving building material around.

Maybe I do need to stay clear of the bolt on forks ( bucket forks ) and go with the quick attach deal for the tractor?

Buying the larger forks is gonna mean having to store them inside though and I am limited on storage space so I need to weigh my options.

I have an older set of these on my M.Maybe a bit big for your L but they are good quality rigs at an affordable price: Virnig ERPF48 Standard Duty Skid Steer Pallet Fork Attachment - Lano Equipment, Inc.
They have other units too.
I store mine outside on a pallet, cover the hoses and spray all the moving parts with truck lube.

In my opinion it is silly to not have a pair of pallet forks if you own a tractor. SO many uses, pay for themselves in no time.

If your tractor has SSQA definitely go that route. You’ll never regret doing it. Only a couple hundred bucks difference is nothing compared to years of crummy service from clamp on forks. I used to have a set of Titan forks which were junk but not that bad for a small tractor. I have a set of Blue Diamond forks now but they’re about $1,000 and way too heavy for a small tractor.

You need the lightest forks for your tractor to pick up any weight 42'' would be good.....

Don't know if they would fit your model... but I have Jery Dunn's Tach n Go quick attach and adjustable forks. Google it. I can't find their website but dealt with Jery over the phone and was extremely happy I bought them. They are on my BX more than my bucket but it only takes a minute literally, to swap them out. Also glad I got the adjustable forks vs. the fixed ones. Allows quick easy adjust of their spacing for different pallets or other things that need a lift. Also lots of talk here on TBN about these forks.

I'd go as 4570Man said ....i.e.especially if you have SSQA. Don't get a "pin on" pallet fork. That'll drive you nuts trying to attach/remove 'em.

I've had the pin on and sold it when I moved to a bigger model. For my usage now, a set of clamp on's serve my purpose...I have no SSQA.

If your tractor can use the SSQA quick attach, definitely get a quick attach set of forks. I picked up a fork backplate at an auction for a couple hundred and found 42" forks on Craigslist for $150. I welded a couple of D rings onto the top of the backplate so I can attach straps and chains to it for securing loads. I've gotten my zero turn mower stuck in the mud a few times, and used the forks to carry the mower home. I keep the forks on more than the bucket.

The clamp on forks are cheap...I gave mine away when I got a proper SSQA unit. I think it was $500 from MTL.

Get a proper set if you expect to live more than 5 years. Money well spent.
