I have that same set-up on my 2538. The "forks" actually move. There are about 6 or 8 different holes they will go in. The middle one can be taken out all together if you want to use as pallet forks. Tractor Supply sells the whole set-up for around 500 bucks.

To my eyes the Titans look better and easier to adjust while they are also cheaper.

I bet you have a local dealer that carries the Braber forks. Pretty nice and not too expensive. We stock them as well as Terra Force, but you have closer dealers.

Well if I found them local I'd only buy from Beeler as I've eliminated all the other Yuba City area dealers. If I find a dealer lacking I not only won't buy a tractor from them, I won't buy anything from them. Maybe I'll just get in my truck and drive up to your place if you give me enough incentive. I could use a short road trip anyway.

I'll double the price and then give you 50% off! If you do come this way, shoot me an email or a PM and we can make sure we have good stock on them. Normally we good a pretty good stock of a variety of forks. I would check Beeler first, they are good folks.

Yeah well, I kinda figured the only kinda deal I'd get from you would be a raw deal so I'm not surprised.

I was just showing how a fork frame can be made to fit on the 3 point or FEL QA.

I like the trailer receiver in the first pic. Very handy to move trailer around. Did you make that?

Yep, cut the ends off of a receiver hitch and drilled holes through it so it would bolt on through the holes in the Speeco UltraFork frame.

Well I guess I'm just not your typical citified Californicated type like you're accustomed to down there in the flat land.

You are funny, which is why I prod you occasionally for a reaction. If you get down this way, we will take care of you on a set of forks.

I know but I do like prodding back. It's always more fun if it's a two way street. There are so many thin skins around these days it's hard to have much fun anymore.

Hahaha I hope your using nerf forks, but I bet a bale spear could get someone's attention like maybe the one who wrote the manuals

what do yall think of hydraulically adjustable forks? ..kinda heavy at 436 LBS but maybe for the larger utility tractors?

oh, and expensive

Those are very cool. I think the handiest thing for a forklift to have is side-shift, second handiest is fork positioners. These options are so valuable on a real forklift. On a tractor, most guys aren't doing precise positioning like loading out a truck with pallets, so side-shift isn't as needed. The fork positioners would be pretty handy for some applications like moving logs, rocks and other odd shape non-pallet loads.

As you note, they are heavy. I would think a skid-steer wouldn't notice the extra weight, but any tractor with a capacity under 1500 lbs might not appreciate the loss of lifting capacity.

I can see where a fella might not need adjustable forks, for example if all you lifted was regular pallets, but personally, I adjust my forks darn near every time I use the things. I move and load logs pretty often. I want my forks at max width for that. Sometimes I use them for digging out buckthorn. I want them all the way together for that. Just my .02.

That's my thinking as well. I'm looking to buy forks now, and the fixed width (only 21" between forks) will make it pretty tough to pick up and carry logs longer than 8-10 feet I imagine. If a log or other long load isn't perfectly centered over those two forks, it's gonna tip one way or the other. I'll likely never be lifting more than 1000 lb, which is why I'm looking at Titan's clamp on forks. I really can't justify spending the big dollar on the dedicated fork attachment with adjustable width forks.

Clamp on forks have have a lot of limitations. They will move easy if you bump something. But moving logs might be a challenge. Not saying it can’t be done. A lot of people buy clamp on forks, only to later buy a set of real forks due to this.
