Forks Pallet Mover vs. Pallet Forks?

/ Pallet Mover vs. Pallet Forks? #11
Does anyone have any advice on choosing between the Paynes Light-duty and Medium duty forks?

I have a B7800 and I know my 402 FEL lift capacity is not 2000lb., but it is a bit more than the 800lb limit of the light duty forks. Even with the extra weight of the forks, I wonder if the mediums would be worth it especially since the bucket won't be anywhere near full height. The main use of the forks will be moving wood and brush, and my definition of "worth" would be 1 or 2 more 4' logs per trip.
Thank you.

I have the 2000 lb. Payne’s forks and am very pleased. The extra length of the medium duty forks is handy if you handle brush piles. Always be aware of the weight restrictions of the clamp on style. Payne’s forks are well-made, good luck.

I think that the medium duty Payne forks may be overkill. I have a B7800 also and the light duty forks (which aren't very light at all) have handled anything that my FEL can lift, up to and including the 900# pallet that my PTO-driven wood chipper came on. --plucked it off a 16wheeler and moved it to where I keep the chipper with no problem at all.
