Pallets in fields

So, taking the original post and your post we must conclude this:
1. Pallets are landing markers and are only seen in the fall until sometime in winter when they disappear.
2. Bob the Alien knows his home planet has a prime launching time when craft can escape his sun's gravity.
3. Bob the Alien knows the approximate travel time from his world to this strange planet.
4. That travel time puts arrival time in our fall to winter time.
5. When they don't arrive Bob the Alien removes the pallets as the landing signals are no longer needed.

Oh Dave, you are accepting the mysteriously missing Bob's post as indisputable truth. Bob could say anything his Alien controllers tell him to say. Don't be naive and make this easy for the Aliens. :laughing:

His name sure gets lots of hits in Google, but mostly photos of his machinery and seldom Jack himself.

His granddaughter's name was "Suzie". She was apparently quite lazy.

In any case, Bob is missing. Bob is from New Jersey, naturally Bob is willing to travel far away. Pallets are randomly appearing here and there many states distant from Bob's home. Ipso facto, Bob is placing those pallets that we are discovering daily. The Aliens believe Bob is positioning Paladins in preparation for their arrival. Ha Ha Ha, the Aliens did not factor in our human predilection to err. I'm afraid the joke will be on them upon their arrival. Hopefully, the Aliens are in possession of a reasonable sense of humor.

That my friends, is the solution to the pallet mystery.

Johnny Palletseed is yet another great American hero. He is responsible for the capture and consequent killing of Jack Pallet.
Jack Pallet became an outlaw after he robbed a bank and a train. He fled this country on a steamer and wound up in Australia. It was there that Johnny Palletseed cornered him in a saloon. He said "Jacky boy" ...."this is show down".
Jack was hot, he drew first and shot, but the shot...it hit not and it was Jack who collapsed in the corner. Now the doctor came in, stinking of gin, and proceeded to lie on the table. He said "Jack you met your match" and Jack said, "doc its only a scratch" "And Ill be better, Ill be better doc as soon as I am able".
Jack died a few hours later and his body was buried in a shallow grave not far from the saloon.
Johnny became a local hero and found a bride down under. He became a successful businessman and founded a logistics company that he named after is lip wax. The company still exists to this day.

Given the insight revealed by my "Paladin Theory," I have most carefully reexamined the evidence shown. I am ashamed to say I may have jumped to unwarranted conclusions.

The preponderance of logic is that this humanoid (if we can safely assume even this assertion) is a Paladin wannabe. He is posing squatted among his pallets with a cordless drill, and has conveniently positioned himself in the foreground of what can only be a terrestrial dwelling in the hope of advancing his survival chances with the Aliens.

Are we really to believe the outboard thrusters of a genuine galactic cruising capable ship can be disguised as a pressure treated deck? I think not. Also, our supposed humanoid holding the cordless drill, pretending it to be a ray-gun, is truly worthy of a child's innocence.

Was this alleged humanoid visited by Bob before this photograph was taken? No doubt. Bob, infecting those he makes contact with, continues on his mistaken mission to place pallets instead of Paladins.
