I beg to differ. Re-visit the pictures in post 26, especially the middle one. Clearly this is how the pallets are meant to be viewed. Notice the pallets are "suspended" in a sea of earth tone. This image is captured in a simple, almost Cubist, representation on the military vehicles.

A valid point. I am not qualified to critique this "artist" theory as I have a Bachelor of Science degree. Perhaps someone with a Bachelor of Arts degree can comment. :)

I would have never thought that you had a degree in BS ;)

Not just a degree, the man has experience, cachet and skill beyond words! :cool2:

I just noticed that you are located in New Jersey. Because we have not heard from the OP (Bob), it is your responsibility to make inquires as to the pallet formations.;)

Steve

Most fields in NJ have names. They are called parking lots. I will do what I can to bring this to a conclusion. If I knew where sparcs lived, I would check to be sure he is ok, then throttle him for leaving us hanging.

If I find the fields and see feet under the pallets, I'm outta there!

That's the spirit!!

Make sure that you take photos first.;)

Ack!! Don't go and ruin our fun with "alleged" facts. :)

Ohh!! Look at the shiny quarter!!

This is getting to be curiouser and curiouser.

You will notice that one "tkappeler," who "claims" to be from New Jersey, agreed to seek additional information about the pallets -- this on January 14. He frittered his time away by posting additional messages, the last appearing on January 15.

It is now January 18, and we have yet to hear from this "tkappeler." There may be alternative explanations, but two come to mind immediately:

a. both Bod and tkappeler have paid the ultimate price in the interest of science, or
b. both are slackers.

However, to be fair to tkappeler, his last post indicates that he may have ADD.;)

In reviewing the literature, I have found that the "Artist" theory has been offered before.

Or its minimalist art project.

We require the services of someone with a BA.

The rapid growth of this "military" clique makes me skeptical of the scientific qualifications of its members. As I demonstrated in my critique, the "military" theory is flawed. The pictogram on the side of the military vehicle has but two sides, while the pallet formations are triangular, with the base of the triangle being formed by the earth. I used the term "earthbound" in my critique, which orezok misread, whether by mistake (which I doubt) or by design, as "earth brown." Rather than accept my critique as constructive criticism, he has managed to dupe a gullible public by claiming that his theory is not flawed. Absent photographic evidence of the pallets suspended in mid-air, the "military" theory must be dismissed as idle speculation.;) Steve

Steve, I respectfully challenge your assessment that the pallet formations are triangular. Had the two stacked pallets been stacked upon a third pallet on the ground, your assessment would be accurate. Looking at the formation, your attention is immediately drawn to the two stacked pallets, placed in an inverted V orientation.

Based on this, I am officially joining the "militarist" faction. For now. Until I change my mind. Maybe "alienist" tomorrow... No, definitely militarist. Maybe.

Maybe some active science is necessary here... I think I will go outside and place a couple pallets 'in the position' and monitor. I will of course report back all findings. Hang on....
