Parabolic Subsoiler

Those are pretty good pictures. Thanks.

This is the style I would really like to make.

Subsoiler by Miskin

I want something a little more radical because I have a lot of bamboo on my property and I want to cut the roots. The roots are shallow, but they can be quite thick and strong. I figured this type of shank would handle that better.

Bamboo roots are something else. I bet you will need some kind of coulter wheel to slice through them. Even with a parabolic subsoiler I can see the roots just balling up in front of the shank without a slicer.

These roots are up to two inches in diameter. Most of this bamboo is 3 to 5 inches in dia. and up to 40 feet tall.

I never had a problem with it until a couple years ago we got a bad ice storm and a lot of the bamboo was twisted and broken. It was like that set it off. Now I can't keep it out of the yard. It has tried to spread about 50 yards. I've kinda dept up with it, but the roots just keep getting bigger and bigger. sometimes after a good rain, I'll have hundreds of sprouts come up over night.

I figured if I could the roots deeper maybe I could gain some ground on this stuff.
