My older DK5010 has the brake indicator and I took two photos up under the dash. The first overexposed (sorry) photo shows the brake lever going through the slot in the dash and two small bolts holding the brake switch. The second better photo shows the switch plugged into two barrow connectors.
The second photo is the important one. If your wiring harness has two connectors dangling where a switch would go then you may be able to get the indicator working. Start by connecting the two terminals together to simulate the switch closing and confirm that the brake light comes on (with ignition on). If it does, buy a switch at the dealer or on Amazon and you'll be good to go.
