Parking Brake issues on TC45

This is the only thing I could find dealing with the parking brake on TC45's, but this was posted more to do with the parking brake releasing after stepping on the operators platform than setting the deck.

The brake pedal and brake pedal ratchet assembly have been improved to provide more positive engagement, effective with serial number G517927

First Let me start by once again thanking all those that take the time to help so many of us out with our "little problems". My problem is excatly as Jinman has described it. I could not explain it as well as him, but I could not figure out why this mechanical linkage was becoming difficult to engage after use. But it would make sense if it was getting radiant heat that the linkage would get more difficult to operate. I will check this out and see if this fixes it. Thanks again.

DocHeb- no offense taken, I know that it is necessary to point out the obvious to people first. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Best regards!

The pivot point bushing can not be lubed easily, it would need to be disassembled it to be greased. NH should have placed a zerk fitting on it.
Today the brake set/release lever on my TC 45DA was tight and when I pulled up on the lever, its pivot point sheared from the floor pan. It seems the weld spot rusted thru.

I agree with everything you said. This design is lacking and the underside of our platforms is prone to rusting. It's something that NH has not done well.
