Parking Brake Light CK2610 question

Dealership said parking brake light is n/a or something of the sort. Yet, the parking brake light comes on when the key is on, (before switching to start) BUT not when parking brake lever is on and engine running.

Should parking brake light be on whenever parking brake lever is on? I say yes, dealer says no. I mean why have a light that is not on when parking brake is on?

The light illuminates when the key is turned to on, but there is no switch on the parking brake to activate the light when the brake is set. Same in all the CK10 Tractors.

Probably same part used in different series where it does serve a purpose. If I'm remembering right, there was something else on the CK instrument panel to be ignored - like eco PTO mark or something. Was too long ago so I don't remember but it was something due to the same part being used in US and Asia market machines.

I am slow to respond because I had to visit my tractor to take photos. I expect the "brains" are still in the dashboard. I have to wonder if, to cut costs, Kioti simply stopped installing the park brake switch. Today I took photos of my park brake switch. You can see it is a basic closing switch that plugs into the cable assembly with two individual connectors similar to those used elsewhere on the tractor. The overexposed photo shows the park brake handle. I was just aiming my camera up in the cavity.

If the connectors are there on your tractor, you could probably purchase a replacement switch and bolt it in place...at your own risk.
