Hey nice work on the plow, keep up the good work. You set a fine example here at the TBN site for a professional job.

That is such a nice job it makes me wish I lived in a part of the country that got lambasted by snow. Thanks for the action shots!

Ps: I know, watch what you wish for.......

I noticed that lots of contractor plowers use rings, (the type that you'd attach to a chain to serve as a chocker), rather than washers to stack. That way you only need 5 or 6 rather than dozen or more washers. Each ring is about 1/4" thick in the 1"-1/4" dia size.
Thats a good idea, but the washers came with the shoes, so that is what I used.

With a full load of snow up front, how was the stearing? and side plowing?
Steering only got light when I had to much downpressure, just nudge the stick back a hair and all was well. The snow never pushed the tractor to the side.
were you able to push accumulated banks back without turning into the banks? or is that asking too much of the tractor given it's weight.
I never really had to do this, the banks did not get that big. we only had 8 or 9" total between 2 snowfalls, and the first was like powder so...
My concern would be overworking the front axles/diff as on my truck I have snapped the odd axel due to that. )

Wish I had your welding expertise. Could make a bracket the same as yours that mounts where the FEL bucket goes and then weld a pipe-like snout on it to mount my Gravely snow plow onto my 4010.
