Still waiting for a BX 2200 been 2 months now. Just wondering if my tractor would
need a part or if i order anything from kubota if it takes this long.
Dealer did say JD parts was alot quicker. How about some info from you guys
about supply of parts and accessories. Once it gets caught up on supply for the tractor
is stuff easy to get .

I wouldn't know how hard, easy, or quick it is to get parts because I only had my B7100 for four and half years and now the B2710 for one year, so I've never needed any parts.

Kubota has a very good (and probably typical) scheme. They stock the common parts at the dealers and it takes one day from the warehouse for the uncommon parts. Common parts like filters, oil, hydraulic fluid, adapters, etc., are stocked in pretty good depth. Example of an uncommon part is a binder for the workshop manual! Took 1 day. Getting the first run workshop manual took several weeks as they were not in print when I bought the tractor.

Most tractor dealers (John Deere, Kubota, NH, Massey) have a pretty good and rapid supply chain. The only hard problem usually is paying for them. John Deere parts cost more than Kubota parts, but Kubota parts are not cheap. Most dealers will order on demand. The ones that are a pain are those that order only 1 day a week. My tiller is several years old and they had to order the tangs directly from Long on the East Coast. It took 3 days to UPS the parts to my door. You can get Kubota wheels, tires, and most parts that are coded warehouse pretty quick. I suspect it would take a few more days to get a short engine block.

UPS is so good that I ordered a 105 pound casting from a nearby state and had it in 2 days for a Massey.

Autos and trucks are no different. A dealer will not stock anything other than common parts until he knows he has a sale for that part.

I've had no trouble getting filters. Had to wait 3 days to get some parts to repair the adjustable link on the 3PT. By the way, that repair was because I was still learning how to hook up attachments and messed this up myself.

KEVIN I TO DAMAGED MY TOP LINK IT BENT AT THE THREADS WHILE LIFTING A LAND SCAPE RAKE.I REPAIRED IT ONCE AND IT BENT AGAIN.I CHECKED ON GETTING IT REPLACED AND THE DEALER TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $120.00 AS A COMPLETE UNIT OR $40.00 WITHOUT THE SET SCREWS ON EACH END.FOR RIGHT NOW I AM STILL USING IT BENT JUST CANT ADJUST IT FOR LENGTH.BUT NEEDLESS TO SAY WHEN I DO ORDER THE NEW ONE IT WILL BE THE $40.00 UNIT. I WILL STILL REPAIR THIS ONE AGAIN AS A SPARE.I WONDER IF ANY ONE ELSE IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM?

I HAVE HAD MY BX2200 NOW FOR 2 MONTHS AFTER WAITING OVER 2 MONTHS TO RECIEVE IT.IT WAS DELIEVERED BY THE DEALER WITH A REPLACEMENT HYDRAULIC HOSE IN PLACE OF THE FACTORY SOLID PIPE THAT WAS BENT DURING SHIPPING.THIS BAND AID HAS WORKED FINE BUT I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE FACTORY PIPE FROM KUBOTA.I TOOK THE TRACTOR THIS WAY BECAUSE MY DEALER WANTED ME TO WAIT FOR THE PIPE BEFORE HE WOULD DELIEVER ,BUT I COULD NOT WAIT SO IN THE MEAN WHILE I KEEP WAITING FOR THE CORRECT PIPE BUT I STILL AM ABLE TO WORK MY TRACTOR.

I will say my Kubota dearler has been great on parts!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I always keep one change of the most common items on hand for I found it to be easier, such as filters & fluids.

I've read on some the post where dealers are back log,but 95% of the time its not the dealer fault but yet the finger pointed at them./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

May your BX2200 arrive soon and happy tractoring./w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

At the meeting where Kubota introduced the BX series tractor they told us on the last day orders were in excess of what they had anticipated by 100%. We recently got a letter from them that sales are 42% over last year. Yes they are backed up and so are the orders for there equipment. The new BX series sales has taken off in at a rockets pace but they should be or are getting caught up. When manufacturing is so far behind it pulls on the parts system, they will succeed and continue to put out a great product at a great price with the parts and back-up that are parrell to other manufacturers.

Duster,
Is you Kubota a BX series? I bent the top link on my BX2200 too. I found it was difficult attaching my 72" landpride back blade so I bought a Landpride Quick hitch. That is what I bent it on. I found out from the Kubota New England Sales Manager, Alex Woods, that Kubota is planning a "field retrofit kit" for the 3-point on the BX series because the geometry is wrong. So don't rush out just yet and replace the top link.
Best Regards,
Ken Johnson
