Pasquali 986 not starting

Thanks again ptsg, I've managed to find another supplier in Spain, obviously before I read your message. The problem was with one of the connections. I suspect (no proof) that a mechanic I had looking at it might have damaged it trying to bleed the system?

Anyhow, I've also ordered a new fuel filter so I'm putting that in as well....................fingers crossed

Thanks again for all your help with this. I got the mini beast up and running again with a new fuel line and a new filter and it's as good as new

At work we had a 988 and it was a far cry from a Cat Loader. LOL.
My God I hated that machine!! Still have the tiller for it.

Hi Hola Tracta,
I think I might be running into the same issue as you. I have the 988 and has been running just fine but is starting to stall out occasionally or lose power. Is that how your issue started? Also where are you finding parts? Pasquali Parts is the only place I have found so far. One last question on your fuel filter...is it located in the tank?
I love my little beast but like you, I'm not a mechanic but being an Engineer, I like to work on things and figure them out.

The fuel filter is indeed in the tank, but apart from emptying the fuel tank it's a dead easy swap. The problem turned out to be an air leak on the high pressure fuel line. I got a replacement from the parts dealers reccomended by ptsg on my original posting, but you might want to take off the existing fuel line and refix it using a couple of turns of PTFE tape on the connections first. Just think of it like a plumbing job, but make sure you don't block the feed pipe itself and you'll be fine
