Hi all,
I sold my old 8n, the no power steering in the granite infested woods of New Hampshire was tiring me out before I cut the tree up. I ended up buying a pasquali 988. I think its an incredible machine, my one worry was getting parts. Italian tractor company has been unbelievable with answering my questions and getting me the needed parts. I have been looking for a pasquali backhoe, I heard they are incredibly rugged. The problem is they are also quite rare. I found a thread on this site mentioning a member that had fabricated a kubota backhoe onto the back of his pasquali. Any other pasquali owners tackled this project. It does have a three point hitch with really rugged linkage, but I would like to attatch it to the actual tractor. I will need a pot pump I think, the tractors hydraulics are rated at 5.5 gpm. The other thing I have been searching for is a pasquali trailer, this rig has a lever that turns the pto in sync with the wheels. You can actually hook the trailer to the pto and have power to the trailer wheels, then that trailer has a pto which can hook to another trailer. You could make a timber moving train. All my neighbors thought I was nuts when I came home with this thing, but they are becoming believers after seeing the places an articulating tractor can fit, and the amount of power it produces. Someone out there must have accomplished this backhoe project.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I did PM the member from the other discussion, but have not heard back. I can post pictures f the back of the tractor if it helps.
Thanks,
John tibbs
