Sad part is, your old one MIGHT have been made in USA-new ones for sure are Mexico if you are lucky or more likely China. I have 7 DeWalt hand power tools and a few still have an American flag on them-but those days are gone.

I actually replaced the 14.4v batteries on my DeWalt drill a couple years ago, it was 7 years old at the time and top of the line when I bought it. The replacement drill would have been over twice what the batteries cost me and probably lesser quality, so I figured it was worth doing.

I had mine commit suicide by leaping out of my hands and into the septic tank. I was too shocked to dive in and save him, much to my shame.

Com on BONRIP ya didnt dive in head first pull him out and proceed with some Mouth to Mouth just to SAVE HIM!>!>??? Man that is sad your old trusted friend drowned and you didn;t save him whats a bit of lip leavings between friends!>>? lol

I had basically the same thing happen to mine. Found a parts list online, got the part numbers and ordered the two body halves and for less than $30. It was like new again.
