Whats the going rate of brushhogging in east tx

I would think the same as other areas. $50-$250 per hour. Terrain, size of stuff to be 'hogged down, size of equipment to be used, how remote the location is, and lots of other variables need considered to narrow down the price any at all.

If I'm mowing for friends or neighbors and don't have to haul I'm 20-25 per acre. Going rate is 50 for 15 acres and less, 40 for 16 acres and more. That seems high to me but I think he's running a much smaller shredder and passing the cost to the customer. If I have to haul I'm usually around no more than 30 per acre. Minimum charge is $250. I won't take my stuff to places that haven't been cared for. I don't want to tear my equipment, don't need the money that bad.

I will say when I was running a 55hp and 7' shredder I thought my time was much more valuable than it was. Now that I can turn and burn my internal cost per acre is much lower and it much more efficient on me and the equipment

I just about refuse to do by the hour. If the customer forces me, it'll be something crazy like $150-175 to get my point across. I always think they are standing in the window watching me and counting how many pee breaks I take and thinking I'm sand bagging. With by the acre, it's on me how long it takes. Also, in cases of bigger equipment, what would take some a full day, I could do in 2-3 hrs. When the price is established beforehand, there's no bad feelings
