PATRIOTIC SEARS

I regularly shop at Sears because its closer and the products are usually better quality. Got new wool socks there (made in the USA) last week.

I focus more on buying domestic made products than the selling outlet, but maybe I should be more aware of that too.

This thread reminds me of our government. Started great and has gone down hill since.

PS. Going to Sears before end of year.

This happens to be the smartest thing I've read in the last four pages!

As I see it no one has to shop at Sears, Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot it is up to you to shop where ever you wish or desire to shop.

One thing that caught my eye in Up-state New York was all of the Lowe's signs were in English and Spanish. We are talking right on the border to French Canada! You would think someone would say "Hey why aren't these signs in French too?"

Oh and I still shop at Sear's now and then, if I can't find what I want on the internet.

All the labels are in English and Spanish in all the stores down here. Just go to the grocery store if you want a Spanish lesson. They won't hire you if you are not bilingual.

Haven't been there in awhile, but enjoy shopping at sears. (tool dept) All my wrenches/sockets etc are craftsman, along with a few toolboxes. That reminds me, need to take back a few broken ratchets.....Problem is, you can buy new craftsman stuff on Ebay for big savings.....

Just too cold up here, I do believe! I have no problem with Spanish signs or with people that speak Spanish, just there aren't too many up in the north country.

I guess i'll be heading down to sears to replace/enhance my hand tools.

Sears had one **** of a sale many years ago....

I bought a radial arm saw from them about 20 years ago. I put $100 cash down on the saw. They didn't have one in stock. When it came in they called. I went down to pick it up. the guy behind the counter said it was paid for. I showed him my reciet for the down payment only. He said his records were correct and to just take the saw. About a month later they contacted me via mail and said that if I did not come down and get the saw they would refund my $100 down payment minus a $15 fee for processing. I wrote them back telling them what really happened. About a week later I got a check in the mail for $85. I still have and use my $15 dollar saw.

 It is a benefit to keep checking Sears out. They come up with some great stuf. The NEXTEC line of tools is amazing. Theres a battery powered drill you can put in your pocket that will do real work. 2 speed gearbox, variable sp, torque settings, amazing torque, etc. The D cell sixed 12V Li ion battery pac lasts a long time and recharges in 30min. $50 to $70 depending on sale.
