I have a John Deere 2150 that I am planning to put a Pat's Easy Change Hitch assembly on. The issue is that, while the lift arms of the three point are structurally sized like Category I, the swivel balls are Category II. All of my implements (to this point) are Category I pins, and I use the Cat II/Cat I bushings on them.
Pat's come in several options, including Cat I/Cat I... Cat II/Cat I... and Cat II/Cat II. The Cat II utilizes the 1 1/8" pins (which my 2150 uses), but they seem vastly oversized for the arms themselves. The 7/8" Cat I pins are too small, obviously, but I am wondering if they would make more sense if I used the Cat I/Cat II bushings inside them?
I contacted Pat's directly, and their email indicated I should get the larger size, but I'm wondering if they fully understood my plan to use the bushings inside the swivel balls.
Any of you all out there had experience with this? Do I need to size up to the Cat II/Cat I (lift arm/implement) combo connector?
