Pat\'s Easy Change System???

I have two question regarding Pat's Easy Change System.

1) Do you need to use a sleeve on the Cat.1, 3 pt pins?

2) What range of adjustment does the optional stabilizer bar offer?

I presently have a TSC Quick Hitch, it's works well with most of
my equipment, except with King Kutter rototiller an the land rake..
The Cat 1, TSC Quick Hitch hooks are Cat 3, requiring that sleeves
be use on the Cat 1 pins...This unfortunately this doesn't leave enough
room between the pins an the frame for the hooks...

You don't need to use a sleeve as the apparatus slips over the ends and then you tighten them on. You may need to add a spacer (provided) to make a tight enough fit, and a U bolt is also provided to help hold it on.
It works just fine on my Kioti hitch arms which are cat. 1.
I had the rod between, but it was bent right away by "something" I never saw happen and I don't know what the range is, but it should work for all the range you have in your arms. I found the rod pretty useless since it bent so easily. John

I just got the Pats system, Wors fine for my TC30. I tried the Speedco hitch that also had sleeve for the pins. And didn't like it as I couldn't get the hooks to fit for the bush hog...Not enough clearence.. As for the stabilizing bar, I just cut a 2x1 to the lenght and 1 dry wall screw in each end to fit in the holes that would have been for stablizing bar and worked just fine..saved $20. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif good luck

I got mine at a show.....the stabilzer bar was free at the show. I do use it sometimes but it isn't necessary. You can buy a Cat 1 or a Cat 2. Makes hooking up and unhooking so pleasant.

If I understand correctly the above information refers to how the hooks
attach to the tractor, not the equipment/implement...

From what you say "Pat's Easy Change System" hooks are Cat 1
and will attach to the 3 pt pins without any additional hardware or
alteration to the equipment/implement...

How much do you estimate these hooks add to the length of the hitch???
It' look from the pictures like it be less then my TSC hitch... I have not
experienced any problems with PTO shaft but heard where others have...

Thank you all for the info, think this will solve my attachment problem as
I hate to modify any piece of equipment if there's a way around it....

Gunfighter, I think the Pat's added somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3" and I had to get a different PTO shaft for my brush cutter as the original one had really been cut rather short when I got it. The new shaft required no cutting to fit with plenty of expansion/contraction room to spare.
You need not add anything to any implement to use the Pat's ez change as you said. All the mounting hardware comes with the set. John

When I replaced my Speedco Hitch with Pat's, my seeders PTO shaft was too short. I bought a PTO extender (about $20.00) and that solved the problem.
