Thanks everyone. I have plenty of tools and time on my hands so I think I'm going to try the universal quick hitch.

Why would you want to get another quick hitch if Pat's is working for ya? Just inquiring. I need to head to Agri Supply in the next few days and I don't want to have to purchase two things lol.

Because with Pat's you still have to get off the tractor to connect/adjust the top link, and you have to use the adjustable spreader bar that comes with Pat's to insure the hooks are the correct width to match the implement.

If all the implements fit the quick hitch you don't have to do that. You might have to adjust the top link length if the implement isn't sitting at the same angle as the last implement you unhooked, but with a hydraulic top link you wouldn't even have to leave the seat to do that. I'll have a hydraulic top link someday. And I like to fab and weld, so the implements will get modified.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with Pat's Easy Change, it's just that a quick hitch and all the implements actually fitting the quick hitch is just another level of "performance" so to speak.

I had a quick hitch. Only fit 1 of my implements well, 1 not so well and the others not at all. Decided on Pat's and have never looked back. I can and do make things that can't be purchased reasonably or that would require more time than I have. Time is money. Everytime I fire up the welder the local utility cash register goes ca ching! With the pat's I can bring any implement home and not have to modify before I use. Sold the fast hitch. One of the other reasons I chose Pat's was the fact that they offered the slide in version so the pins are in the factory location= no modification to pto required. And, whenever possible, I keep my money at home in the USA instead of giving to the Chinese.

I tried a cheap quick hitch from HF. After spending several hours to modify it...and then spending time to modify my implements....I still couldn't fit onto my rotary cutter correctly....nor my tiller either. I sensed lots of frustration coming.....so, I gave up on it....and bought the PAT'S.....now I am a happy camper.

I think with all of 'em your gonna have to get outta the seat occasionally...if for no other reason, to hook up the PTO. Pat's ain't fool proof.....but it sure enough fits every piece of three point gear I own and I don't struggle to hook them up. I'd buy PATS again.

Sounds good. I was thinking having all Woods equipment would make them all line up but what do I know. I also have a 3pt hitch spike areator filled with antifreeze. I'm gonna sell that soon so it won't matter anyways.

Bingo. This was a big selling point for me with the PATS. My B3030 also takes the slide-in version. Actually prefer them over the adjustable links that came with the tractor.

I don't have the PATS spreader bar. When backing up to an implement, I just use a broom or shovel while sitting on the tractor to move one of the 3pt arms around until I can catch both arms on the implement. Yeah, you still have to get off to attach the top link, but that's no biggie -- you have to get off to attach the PTO anyhow for many things. I'll take that over struggling with a stubborn implement for 15 minutes anytime.

Quick question. Wife and kids want to get me some type of easy hitch or quick hitch and I'm not sure on which one to get. Here is a list of my attatchments for my Mahindra 2516.

42" Woods bushhog (trying to trade it for a 5' unit if anyone has one that is too big for them)

66" Woods boxblade

72" Woods landscape rake

60" generic backblade for pushing snow.

Looks like the Agri-supply quick hitch is a little less expensive but I want to make sure it will fit my attatchments.

Thanks everyone and Happy father's Day :)

Looks like most of your stuff is Woods. I would get a Woods quick hitch, you should be all set. ;)

X2.. With the HF its a lot harder to see the pins on the implement because of the uprights coming up to the 3rd arm also.
The HF looks good on paper but I'm SOOO much happier with the Pat's.
The only thing I did to the Pat's was to tack the shims in under the arms because I lost one somewhere in a 70 acre Subdivision I was cutting. The customer service behind Pat's was easy to get in touch with and very friendly. They sent me another shim and pin the next day. A+

Since you mentioned going by Agri-Supply, I will mention that they carry a version of the Pat's system. I think they call them the economy version and is slightly different. They are a little cheaper, but still made by Pats, not a knock off. I ordered them after buying my tractor 2 years ago. They come with the adjustable bar to hold the lower lift arms at a set distance. I found the bar to be a pain and just cut some 3/4" PVC to the right length and used it as a spacer while hooking up. I now have telescopic stabizers instead of the turnbuckles, so they hold the arms to what ever I set them at so don't have to use the PVC anymore.
I like the Pats system because I can drop an implement anywhere without worrying if the ground is level or if I have the front of the brush level and go back later and hook them right back up. No jerking, pushing, cussing and rarely any having to re-line up.
Also, if you are at Agri-supply, I recently bought the handi hitch which they carry. If you use your tractor to move trailers much, it is a great help.
