Where does the time go? Soon the snow will be flying and I've got a ways to go yet. So far I'm pleased with the way things are turning out though.

I think it was early sept. when I started digging out the bank.

Then we poured the first couple steps and half the patio pad.

Then the rest of the steps and other half of the pad.

Added the lattice and started building the retaining wall.

Finished the retaining wall and backfilled.

Looks like a good idea comming together with fantastic results. Really nice job on the retaining wall.

Good looking project.

Is the trail through the woods where you took your dirt? Looks like you've been driving that route quite a bit!!!

Yea,up untill this spring that was our primay access to the back of the lot. In the spring we put a gravel road up on the other side of the house, but right now it's blocked by a big pile of gravel for this project. I'm hoping to stop using it and get some grass growing to stop erosion as soon as possible.
This project was my wife's idea,we still have a section of the patio and a 16' sidewalk to pour behind the deck. I'm starting to get a little concerned about the temp.
