Pat's Quick Hitch

I've been looking at purchasing one of these Pat's Quick Hitch for my New Holland T1510. How many of you have experience with them? Is there anything I need to know prior to using it? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have them on the B7200,
That tractor's character is that the lift arms fall IN toward the center. With the Pat's, a spreader bar is a big help when hitching up! Pat's sells one, I made my own.

The other aspect is that the lifting lugs on the Pat's don't accommodate a large variation of pin width nicely.
The alignment is adjustable, but I would not call it field adjustable. You would likely never run into issues but I have a couple of very narrow attachments, and some wider ones. It's still works, just tight.
A Euro-ball would be a refinement.

Get a couple of sets of those pin washers, and just leave them on your attachments.

I have the Pat's and mine came with the bar that allows to to set the width or the arms. I love my Pat's hitch and have a variety of implements that work with it perfectly fine. It does add about 4" to the lift arm lengths, so take that into consideration for any of your existing PTO shafts...

I agree with the others.. I have been using our PATs for about 6 years now. Love them. So much easier than it used to be.

I have a bent lift arm on the 3 point. Not bad enough to cause trouble. The Pats makes it easier to connect to our implements.. We are swapping them all the time.

Thanks, I was wondering how well they work compared to the Quick Hitch style. The only attachment I'm currently running is a 5' brush hog but have plans to get a disc. With the addition of the length to the arms will I have any issues connecting my PTO shaft on the brush hog?

Depends. It adds 4" of length to your shaft so do you have 4" of shaft to spare before running into issues?

I’ve had Pats for about 7 years now. I had them on a Kubota BX and moved them to my JD. I like them but did modify mine.

The three point lift arms have ball pivots usually and the Pats eliminate the swivel ability. What I did was leave my Pats loose so they can flop around a little. My problem is the original Pats bolts are pretty soft and when I removed them they were mushroomed out a little. I got harder bolts and ran a thread chaser through the bolt holes.

You don’t have to do this modification I describe but I feel it works better this way. Another member of this board posted how he did tge same thing is why I did it.

I just left the bolts out on mine since I wanted them to pivot like the ball end allows. Had them on the BX and now the 2400H.

I've got them but they fit some implements, not others. Didn't work well with my box blade. Made it a lot easier on the things they fit. A good concrete pad helps also.
