Chuck one up in the air, and let in land on the grass, and it could resemble a heap of melted Botas, Kiotis, JDs and anythign else you had in mind /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
We have a few on the place here in Eastern Ky. I haven't grown them on purpose but I have noticed that some bloom and have fruit and some don't. I don't know if that is because of a male verses female variety but it does seem to be that way. Also the oldtimers here said that the plants are pollinated by green flys. They say to put raw meat in the middle of a grove when they bloom. The few blooms that I have noticed have been a beautiful dark purple almost black if I remember right. I can't remember if they smelled like something dead or not though. They will soften up after the first frost and are pretty tasty. But you better be quick because once the fall they don't last long. Also the groves I find seem to be found in low lying areas similar to black walnuts. That's basicially all I know about them.
