Moon,

For what it's worth, I'd get the toothbar first regardless. I believe that it's the best money I've spent on anything for my tractor thus far. It increases the utility of your FEL more than you'd ever believe (and this coming from someone who lives in an area that's almost all clay).

I got my toothbar (made by FCL in IL) made to fit my bucket built and shipped promptly at a good price through Mark Brucker at KC Canary. It was shipped directly from the manufacturer to my door. If you're interested, you can reach Mark at 800-920-7097. Just tell him it's an internet sale and you will avoid paying their state sales tax.

Good luck with whatever you decide. I hope this helps. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

I received a set of the Payne's light duty forks this last week and yes, mine also took a while to come. Now that they are here I am happy with the quality of the forks. Good strong steel and the welds are very nice. I am particularly pleased that they will fit on my loader without removing the Wood's tooth bar that lives there full time. My use so far has been moving brush and stumps from where we are clearing an area. I am not sure what kind of weight I have moved with them though one pile of stumps was almost to much for the loader.

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

Moon,

That sounds like the way to go. Once you use your loader with it installed you'll wonder why you didn't get it sooner. I was just playing with mine earlier today. Between using that on my loader and using my box blade, dirt piles don't stand a chance. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

Update!!!

What can I say? I just got off the phone with probably the nicest guy I have ever done business with.

Bob Payne called to explain that he never received my order. But what made the problem worse is he never even knew about TBN. It looks like someone else does his web sight and had advertised on TBN for him. According to Bob he's not a big fan of computers.

Anyway, that explains why he never saw my complaints and why I never heard from him.
The unbelievable thing about this guy is it's not good enough for him to rush my forks out today he wants to throw in free shipping AND a clamp on tri-ball for my delay!!

Actually, now I feel a little embarrassed and told him so for the not so nice shots I directed at his company. My foot hurts in my mouth right now.

All I can say is please do yourself a favor and order from this guy. From other post you know his product is top notch and now you know Bob Payne is a true gentleman.

The clamp on pallet forks that we sell are made by MDS. I think their website is MDSGroup Try that and it should be able to link you up with a dealer in your area. Hope this helps.

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

For the record, I ordered a set of Payne's medium duty forks one week ago today, Friday, and they were delivered by UPS today, June 4th. That's good service by anyone's standards.

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

Terry,
Wow, Guess everything is working out. I decided to call the company and see if there were problems with getting orders out. I talked to the owner and he said that he was having no problems and if I ordered them that day (Mon, 24 May), they would ship out on Wed. I went to the website and ordered a pair, got them on 3 June. I have not tried them out yet, but everything looks good, they fit right, they are sturdy and well built. They will be put to the test this next week when I start my pole barn.
