Yep, And I remember first trying to get a credit card when I turned 18. Forget that. No way. I ended up with AMX.

Nowadays if I had a dog, I am sure it would be getting credit offers.
Heck, my wife gets offers, and her FULLTIME job is a homemaker. Hmmm.....

I cannot imagine coming out of school (college even HS) with debt, student loans included. That just did not happen in my time. And I am NOT that old. It is a different money world today.

HAH! The only difference between me and the G-People are their debt rating is higher, and they can print more money.

I can do everything but print more money. Well, I guess I could but then the Secret Service would have something to say about that.

My local gas company...........started this 5 dollar stuff. I use thier own card at their place of business, for thier products, and I cant charge less than 5 dollars per...........they can keep thier product, gas, and whatever else I wont be buying there.

Oh between my personal gas and for my company truck, close to 600.00 a month, in just gas.

Amen Gary. It was the manager's kid that showed me they dont want my business. Sorry folks, I use plastic, debit and company credit card, if that aint good enough, someone down the street will take it.

My largest card has a $45K soft limit, which means it can go higher with a phone call. The number one rule is that I pay it off every month without exception, even if it hurts.

will the place down the street take it for less than $5.00? The only place that I know of that takes credit cards for any amount is the U.S. Post Office. You can buy a 1 cent stamp on a credit card.

I too am going to call, but I have found another method that seems to be almost as effective. I just write "deceased return to sender" across the face of the envelope and drop it back into the mail box. When I get calls at home asking for me and I ascertain that they are sales calls, I tell them the same thing. I am deceased. Slowly, they are dwindling. The National and State "do not call lists" are being ignored in many instances, but hopefully that will be corrected shortly if the Justice Department wins the legal challenge to the law.
