I still love to pick peanuts. All I have ever run is the old super longs. Can walk up to one and listen to it run and tell what is wrong with it. Only used open air tractors. You talking about dirty. Those old longs dont bring any money any more but you could be in the field two hrs faster than any other picker. The two we have used for the last few yrs were given to us. Fellow was told not to bring them to the auction because they would not sell. most are in fence rows now or sold as junk. I would be careful about buying the any of the first 20 you find. We use ours now to stand on when building hay barns.
