If anybody is into hearing protection and radio listening while tractoring I'd like to recommend the Peltor Work Tunes yellow and black am/fm hearing protector/headset radio.

In this unit, the AM actually works like a decent AM radio, I got Harrisonburg VA during the day from Winchester VA nicely and at my place only good radios do that.

I have no connection with them except when they are over my ears!

Yes I've had mine for many years. I even found another pair at an outlet store. They were blue ones with Husquvarna in the side. Picked them up for a spare for $20.

I've been a Peltor fan for some time now. Fairly comfortable, reasonably quiet, good AM and FM reception for the buck, and they keep my ears from getting sun burnt.

I have had a pair of work tunes for a while. They are great. One thing I learned is that a good set of rechargeable batteries work better than regular Alkaline batteries.

You can get a fm transmitter for the mp3 player that should broadcast to the head phones.

My daughters bought me the Peltor race tunes and they sure are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I also have an XM Satellite reciever that trasmits fm so I am thinking about using that on the tractor.

Oh man, do I love my work tunes while on the tractor or during long runs in the shop. I've had mine for years. I believe they provide a extra level of safety that probably most folks don't realize. You can actually hear better with them on. I can hear my phone ring in my shop while running equipment that I know I can't hear when not wearing them. I believe you can hear other things such as stuff getting caught in the mower, wrong things being sucked into shop dust collector, etc.
One warning of wearing work tunes. When a good footstomping bluegrass tune comes on. Dancing in the seat of the tractor or sawing at the tablesaw is not really recommended. :)
