Pepper Spray/MACE - Pros/Cons

If I every have to use it, then that's all I had to defend myself shot of pulling out a hammer, which would be deadly force.

Now we can get into a discussion on the best hammer for home defense ... the 16 oz or the 22 oz. :laughing:

Not only is the 22 oz. much heavier it has a longer shank, therefore more reach. Framing hammers for me.

Personally I like the 3lb hammers. You only have to hit them once. :cool2:

You beat me to it. Would rather have a 3-4 lb sledge. Shorter reach but only one lick needed. Doesn't really matter where you hit either. It'll be a disabling blow.

As mentioned Bear spray is a little better than "normal" civilian OC - mostly has a wider longer reaching pattern and a high level of active ingredient.
Don't know where you live but it is totally legal is a LOT of places. Works great on animals as well.
