What percentage off list are you getting at your dealer?

At mine it is 11% - for everything Kubota.

According to the B-Series Pricing Page a good price is 15% and a great price is 20% off.

IIRC, the MN site was showing 25% off tractor and 15% off optional equipment. But that is an institutional price I gather.

I know some JD dealers would do 16% and 20% and 23% off.

I have been told that the dealers have a 25% mark up on tractors. If the dealer give you a 12.5% discount, then he is splitting his profit in half. When I purchased my tractor, the dealer gave me about a 14% discount and I felt that it was a good deal for both of us. I wanted a price that we both could live with and that is what I got the first time without any haggling. Some dealers want to get the full mark up on every sale, and as a result they don't get as many sales. If the tractor that you are considering is a hot seller, then he doesn't have to discount it as much. Also, it it is a very expensive machine, then the gross profit is more and he might consider the $$$ instead of the percentages. I explain this as which would you rather have 50% of $100 or 5% of a $1,000,000. There are times when percentages just don't add up to sales and other times, they can represent the difference between a profit or a break even sale. Hope that this answers your question without giving you more confusion to the purchasing equasion.... When in doubt, do as one of the other TBN members did..... buy from the dealer with the cutest woman in the office... while that might give you an idea of "cost" it does not cover things like freight, setup, programs, delivery, etc. Those things can make up a substantial part of the true cost, I'd say usually about 5%.
