We have a BIG JD with M&H Pistons and a modified turbocharger. You can screw the pump pressure up but with a tractor, it's not the horses, it's the torque or more exactly, the torque rise. That's designed into the engine and equates to bore and storke, piston speed and relative mass.

If you want more power.......get a bigger tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you want to pop it's cork, put a propane bottle on it and a fogger. After that, you will get ANOTHER tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

roy, wouldn't a turbo deisel be more fuel efficient than a comparable na engine?

Simple.

Although they both have the same displacement, one has a larger injector nozzle orifice on it than the other, thereby getting more fuel which generates more torque and more horsepower across the entire operational range.

Ok, there is a 3TNE84T which is the turbo version of the 4310's engine (I don't see a similar version of the 4410's 3TNE88...)

I saw a price of $2400, but am not sure if that will make an 3TNE84 an 3TNE84T... I am checking...
