Yeah, I made a mistake I'm still kicking my butt about.
There is a product that will last years and years. Aluminum.
I had found a seller closing out aluminum decking, primarily for docks. At a price maybe only twice that of PT w/ 2 coats of good stain, couldn't talk my son into it. I was going to install a new large deck at the house I'm renting him, my pool deck, and 2 more decks (~14x16) I've got. Would have been "one and done".
He couldn't decide, and my wife didn't like the idea of aluminum deck, unless it was on the river.
Now I'm scrubbing deck every few years and staining.
