I like the magnet idea, but will I be able to get the saw away from my belt buckle, or will the steel arch of my boot be stuck to the saw after starting it? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I had the same problem---no place to haul saw, wedges, fuel, etc... I use a small trailer, and it's hard to keep everything from falling off of a full load!! Solution: A very light weight carry box that goes on 3 pt. I used galv. pipe and 1/8 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 angle to make a frame to hook up to 3 pt. After that, I welded two pcs. on that looked like forks sticking out back (about 16"). To these, I bolted a 3/8" pc. of plywood. Now we have a small platform att'd to the 3 pt. The secret: Go to Walmart and buy a plastic storage container and screw it to the plywood. Get it deep enough and you won't have to worry about anything bouncing out.
Whole thing might weight 15 lbs., and will go high enough for me to still hook trailer to drawbar. This is the most used attachment that I have!!!

Nice additions to the machine! Unfortunately, my machine is kind of undersized for my logging activities, so the counterweight has to occupy the three point area. The tool box back and above the 3pt would be next (Harv style), for the things I should really have with me like the files, wedges and safety equipment. The machine is capable of log handling as long as I recognize the 700# FEL cap and finding the center of the logs pretty close. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gifSteveV

Ortho markets an excellent guide book on pruning fruit bearing bushs and trees. Covers general principles of pruning and specifics for various types of bush/tree. Up here my neighbors plum and pear trees have been "organically pruned" by black bears. Usually the night before the crop is ripe for harvest.
