Pest Tubes

I can get to the tubes through the wall, but I am wondering if it is worth it, to patch drywall. What do you think?

Do you not have an exterior access cap on the outside of your house where the tubes exit for servicing? Mine do.. and there is about 2' - 3' of coiled tubes in there. When the ends get brittle, the guy just snips 1/2 an inch off and adds a new connector??

I have no slack left. It has all been cut back, and now we are down to inches. The guy has a hard time getting a grip on them. I wonder if it can be spliced...

Yes.. they can.. just find the correct sized double hose barbs.. the nylon type at the hardware store.. And then the correct sized tube to extend each piece with.

Do I need small hose clamps too?

It's realitively low pressure.. the barbs will be quite sufficient.. In fact.. I imagine it will be a bit of a circus act to get the barbs in.. I doubt there will be any leaks from them.. Have you seen the 'charging' setups they use... anything from small rubber ferruls to slipin barbs.. nothing too high tech.. mostly they show up with a mix-in the-tank pump/sump, and a 'charge' manifold that started life as a 10$ bag of pvc hardware from lowes.

Also.. if you observed the pre-install.. the tubes are not 100% continous all over the house. You can find unions and joints..
