Anyone in central/north-central CT have a post hole digger that fits a BX they would be willing to lend/rent to a fellow forum member to drill a few holes (4) to put up a carport/tractor shelter? I need a 10 - 12" auger to set the support posts so my BX will stay out of the snow this winter. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sorry - I'm in the area but I don't yet have a post hole digger. I do have a clamshell and an iron bar though, if you're interested. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

MCA,

I have a Woods 1160 PHD with a 12" bit for my B2910, but I think the bit is about 42" long by itself. The Woods 1160 is designed for Cat. I and II mounts. I don't think the mighty BX has the lift height necessary to safely use this PHD.

I'm a bit north of Suffield, CT...so I'm probably out of what you would consider "local" range.

I think there are others on TBN in our general locale with BX's, but I don't know if any of them have PHD's yet.

Sorry. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Thanks for the offers guys, but the concrete is setting as I type. Home Depot rents two man augers that are no where near as fun as using the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But I can't justify buying a PHD to dig four holes! Anywho, the BX will have a new home in about a week as I clear out the garage for the wifes van.

This skill is part of the Advanced Tractor Owning course. In time.....you too will be able to justify this. If fact your wife will actually make the suggestion /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Good Luck,

if in the next six months, you get serious about buying one, contact me and possibly if we both buy from the same dealer at the same time, we can get a better deal. It can't hurt to try..... I am in Northeast CT....

I have been watching on ebay and this guy sells one of the Leinbach PHD about every three days. They have been selling for as low as $360 up to $420. He seems to be happy selling them this way and the price sounds right.

I want one before spring....maybe we could make some type of a volume purchase from him. My sister-in-law lives close to him. If I visit I could maybe bring some back north. Anyone interested?

Thanks,
Kevin

count me in on a bulk purchase, but it would need to be shipped.... Woodstock CT to Syracuse NY is more driving than my little tractor is up to.... One other thing in our favor is that he would not have to pay e Bay listing and sales commission fees.......

If there was enough demand maybe I could bring my trailer with me on my next trip to my sisters house in NE CT or on my way to Boston.

Anyone else interested?

I can meet you on the highway..... If we get them cheap enough, would that make it "Highway Robbery"?....... LOL....
