when you type your message, look on the menu to the right of the smiley face icon, youll see another icon that says "attachments"

follow that to upload pics.

You also need to "resize your photos" up-load thumbnails.Much faster to upload and view.

All of us were in that position at some time or other, so don't feel bad about it. I remember my first post about it, and luckily somebody introduced me to photobucket. I just use links from there to my posts, so I don't have to figure out how to resize photos, although 3RRL did fix me up on posting thumbnails. If it is still as clear as mud, keep asking about what you do and don't understand. Some of us had to get it pounded in with a 10 pound sledge.

First thing is to figure out if you have a photobucket account, (or some other web based photo storage)
Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket should be easy enough to find and register on. There are plenty of other ways to do it, that is just the one I got steered into and it works for me.
Advise on this and I will try to hit this posting when I get back tomorrow or the next day. Or somebody else can steer you from here.

You do not need to use Photo Bucket you can up load straight from your computer

Try to follow the following sequence of pictures.

First click Manage Attachements. A new box will pop up. Click Browse and go to where you keep your pictures stored on your computer. Normally the My Pictures folder but you can put them anywhere. You kinda have to know where you but your own pictures.

Add as many pictures that you want and when finshed click Upload.

A stolen picture from where i do not remember. I used it when i was trying to explain to some dummy the difference between clips and magazines. One of my pet peeves.

I only suggested photobucket so Ray would only have to learn a single way of doing it, and be able to post pictures on any website without learning each different way of doing it.
If he wants some help with photobucket posting, just hollar, as it isn't hard. Otherwise, glad you got it figured out.

It's my experience that most forums use exactly the same photo uploading process Jimbrown described. Some slightly different, but basically the same.

and a process that I have never taken the time to learn because somebody taught me photobucket first. Sorry, just adding a different point of view, never said either was better or worse, but there are forums that don't offer photo hosting, and that happened to be one that I learned from, so probably why it was the offering of the time.

I hadn't thought of that but the old Mauser would be one of the few pistols to actually use a "clip" to facillitate loading its fixed magazine. Cool
