Very nice, someday i hope to trade my suburban place for something like that. Beautiful land and a respectable tractor collection.

Are you planning on filling that house with kids? Better get busy. BTW mobile homes seem to work well for people that collect non working fridges and cars even if they don't suit people with wheel horses.

The creek is what knocks me out. A farm needs a nice water source. Giving the history of the place, if you ever get caught up enough, it would be interesting to run a metal detector around key areas to see what history you will find. Congratulations on finding your little piece of heaven.

I sort of remember when I was 42. At the time, I thought I was still 26. I don't think like that anymore as my delusions have diminished for some reason. You have a beautiful property. the dog seems to be a fox terrier mix with some pitbull in there. I used to raise these back in the early 80's. These dogs were very prevalent at the time coming to a peak in the 1930's. Spanky and Our Gang tv show had a pitbull. Anyone recall the dog's name? As a matter of fact, Providence RI (not too far from Maine) was considered the pitbull capitol of the world in the 30's. Lots of dog fighting going on then.
I have only seen that amount of Wheelhorse tractors in one place at a local Mahindra dealership that used to sell Wheelhorse equipment. He has about twenty of the old beasts he puts back into shape and resells. Thanks for all those great photos.

I remember a mule called "algeber" and some critter called "Peaty" or "Peedee" and I think that was the dog. I haven't seen one of those episodes in 45 years, so I could be way off.

Regarding metal detectors I have found some cool old relics mostly from digging or them being unearthed by the hogs. Every time I have used the detector it beeps every foot or so (literally) only to find nails, beer tabs and unidentified bunks of iron. It's everywhere. No money yet dang it.
