Pick up bed into a trailer

Like the title says. Has anyone done this before? We have the old bed off my fathers truck and the cross members that are under the floor were rotted out. The remainder of the bed is in great shape. I was thinking maybe we could turn it into a trailer.

That is what I was thinking, maybe a call to the local junk yards is in the future. I don't want to spend a whole bunch of money on this though.

both trailers have the original rear end/differential in them.........

Those are great. Used to see them a lot but for some reason not much anymore. They seem to be more novelty than really useful but I'd like to build one.

i have one of them not going out in the rain to take pic but the cheapest way is to just find old pickup cut the complete frame right behind the cab and of course take drive shaft out then all you need is weld you up a frame and hitch and redy to go
