It is smaller than what I was looking for but I think I got a pretty good deal on it. Paid $300 for everything in the picture, the helmet it pretty much trash and I think I will still pick up new welding cart. He made this as his first project so it is a bit lacking. The tank still has some gas in it. :)

The power cord has a bad spot on it where he must have dropped a piece of metal on it. Can I just get a replacement plug at Lowes and put that on or do yall recommend getting a whole new replacement cord?

i would just put another plug on it.if you wish to weld some thin aluminum lincoln offers a liner, wheel and tip kit.

No plans for aluminum at the moment, just some stuff he threw in. I thought you needed a spool gun for Aluminum but he said it would push the wire as long as the gun & hose were straight.

lincoln offers a kit with a teflon liner bigger tip and wheels made just for aluminum.it will weld.a spool gun is better but more expensive.

Trying to feed aluminum with a standard MIG gun is like trying push string. Much better chance of it screwing up than actually working properly. $300 was a good deal including the cylinder as long as the cylinder can be filled or exchanged.

I am thinking about a small 110 mig, does that have infinite voltage control?

Those clips are for sheet metal work.
The thin blade goes through the gap between two pieces of sheetmetal, and the little bar goes through the hole in the blade. You tighten the wingnut to pull the little bar aganst the back if the sheetmetal panels, holding them edge to edge with only a small gap. Used for autobody work.

I second the sheet metal clamps.
Handy little suckers if your trying to hold sheet metal together.
