Well...got mine all painted today. BLACK lower stuff...Kubota orange upper frame. IM ready for Halloween...lol So..tomorrow afternoon its "new bolt time"...and we'll start getting her bolted back together. Pics maybe??..friday or saturday.

Just curious. You guys seem to know alot about disks. I have cleared the 20 acre plot for a future palm tree farm. Now it needs to be disked. What is left is lots of palmetto turkey necks and a few chunks of pine limbs. I was told that this needs a "20,000 pound disk." I am going to hire this out but could some one tell me what a 20,000 pound disk looks like. I think they pull it with a D5 or so. I am meeting with the contractor on Monday and would love some input.

One is a single gang type, the other uses an offset style that have big cast weights built in as integral parts of the disc frame. They'll dig trough roots, hard ground, even uproot rocks. They look the part of something you'd drag around with a big heavy 'dozer.
