Was at the SAMA show in Luthersburg, PA this spring and this old fellow who restored JD's brought an immaculate 110 and 112 in to the pulling competition. These things with nothing more than lugged rear tires could pull their little hearts out- amazing for belt driven tractors with 8-10-12 HP Kohlers, a few cast iron Tecumsehs were used in 112's too. They did not win, but came **** near close beating many machines with much more HP than they had. Both JD's were restored completely stock top to bottom.
For the best hobby/fun factor in an inexpensive used machine, (and possible work machine too) pick up a JD 110, 112, 120, 140, or 200 series. Teriffic little machines that are easy to work on- these keep teenage kids interested in the small tractor hobby too and keep it alive!
