Had a craving for the product so I bought a jar. Its almost like mush. Not the solid product of my younger days.
Does anyone still make a decent pickled bologna. The brand I purchased was Fischers same one of my youth.

We will occasionally just buy ring bologna, slice it up in a container, slice up a sweet onion over it, add a couple spoonfuls of sugar, and cover with white vinegar. Seal it up and put in in the fridge for a few days. You could easily add some salt, sugar and pickling spice and can your own. There are quite a few recipes out there.

I've never had pickled bologna, but I imagine I'd like it. These days most pickled sausages seem to lack any real texture. It's disappointing.
