Pickup Checklist

Going to pickup the new BX2360 w/ FEL and Snowblower.

Does anyone have a checklist of things i should look for on at pickup time?

My BX2660 was delivered to my house, and the dealer didn't have time to wait for me to get home and meet them. He was supposed to call me at work to arrange the time. It was there when I got home, and I never got the delivery explanations. Thank goodness for TBN!

One of the two bolts was missing on the 4wd lever, made that operation very difficult. The 12V socket was missing. Otherwise, all was in order.

cig socket is missing ? thats odd! Do you see a hole where its supposed to be ? Its under the seat near the floorpan, not in dashboard where I think it should be. Congrats on the machine though. I am sure you are driving it around right now and playing with it before going to work tomarrow! ENJOY! :D I know I did. I had red mulch ready for it when my BX arrived.

It's pretty common to have different brands on the front and rear. Maybe not for this model but for many other Kubotas.

There was a thread on here or another form in which many complained about mismatched and leaking tires, so I prefer matched tires. I have seen tires from different manufacturers that had actual diameter different than another tire of the same size, but different brand.

I have a big tractor with different brands on front and back and when in 4WD you can see the front tires rotating faster and tearing up the ground. Another one with mismatched tires seem fine.

Out of curiosity, when I had to buy new tires I went to several dealers of John Deere, Case and Kubota and all had matching tires on new tractors; maybe it was just a fluke.

I did have the infamous leaking left front tire which was replaced and reported to a Kubota rep who said they were aware of and looking into this. My tires are Traction Masters.

A buyer's delivery/pick-up checklist is very important, and the suggestions here are good. A good dealer should leave no stone unturned and you should be able to zip through the list. My dealer did not seem to have any quality checks in place and apparently delivers tractors pot-luck. Add to list prior to forking over any money: get the serial and engine number in advance, and determine independently of your dealer, the date of manufacture. If the tractor has been sitting on dealer lots for many months, your final price should reflect this
