Bleu, the hydraulics are quite functional. I had one remote at first and in order to run my hyrdaulic top link but this needed one for the hydraulic opening and closing function of the spreader so I had to employ another rear remote, can you say,"Cha-Ching! :(
Robert, I will take a close up of the tip tonight or tomorrow and post it for you as I have no idea.

THANK YOU ... I can sleep tonight, I thought there was a reason!

Here is a pic of the end of the pendulum.

I don't see it in the picture, the website says "the dispenser disc made of stainless steel" so I assume in there somewhere is this disc that adjust for, left, right ot broadcast?

That is definitely different then the Vicon tips. Does the tip come off the cone and rotate 90 degrees one way or the other for left and right spreading? Basically, is it just wedged onto the end of the cone?

I have two vicons, one with a banding spout and another with a broadcast spout. The Vicon I use for banding holds around 2000 pounds which is nice when I am spreading in the orchard and vineyards. It is also mounted on the Vicon cart so I can pull it with a lighter tractor. My other Vicon is a 500 pound model and is useful for food plots and small fields.

I would love to have an adjustable tip that would allow, left, right, left and right, and broadcast. Then I could get rid of the smaller Vicon.

The stainless steel disc should be the one at the bottom of the cone. It is what dispenses the material into the pendulum to be spread.

Ah, yes that would be right.

It seems to be a very well built implement. I got tired of going through the cheaper spin types every 3 yrs or so. Extensive painstaking care was taken in the preservation of them and still couldn't make them last. After "pushing" 850+ lbs of fertilizer and 350lbs of grass seed in 2 days by my lonesome I made my mind up then and there that life was too short. I can't hardly wait for the lime application.

Nice looking Befco unit. I have two dealers with 15 miles of me. I am looking at a couple of their implements as I type this.

I have a cheap little cone spreader also that is just sitting in the barn. The spinner plate rusted off the shaft coming out of the gear box. After the poor showing that spreader gave us we used our friends Vicon a couple times till we found a good used one, then we found the bigger Vicon and that was a good price so we bought that also. I know we can sell the one at a profit and the bigger one maybe make a couple dollars but I don't plan on selling anytime soon.

Wish my Vicon had hydraulic open/close. The handle method is fine on an open tractor like I used to use, but on a cabbed tractor you have to turn off the pto, hop out of the cab, pull the lever to open the holes, jump into the cab while the fertilizer/chemical/salt is pouring out into the wigwagger (made worse by the tractor vibration), turn on the pto, and then take off after you get a big blast of "stuff" where you start off. Cheap/no biggie with salt on a driveway but nasty with chemicals or fertilizer in a field. You'd think a guy could pull the lever with the rear window open but you can't close the window with the spreader raised to operating height. Befco mileage may vary- I haven't seen their Vicon clones yet.
