Pics I promised from my food plot weekend

It's nice to be able to spend time with the family on the land. The place I live is quickly turning into a big town with houses every 100 ft.

I am a sucker for good farm equiptment, but between the 600 on the plow and 3000 on the tiller, the seeder wasnt that important for less than an acre.....

I have one of those ATV seeders and hate it. I can put 100 pounds of seed or fertilizer in it, but controlling how much comes out just about impossible. Even when I get it where I want it, something will change and I have to adjust it again. I've even thought of going back to the hand seeder or push type that you are using. At least I'd have more control over how much seed I put out.

What I'll probabl do is buy a 600 to 800 pund funnel type seeder that goes on the back of the tractor. I won't be doing anything until the fall, so from now until then, I'm hoping to find a deal on a used one in good condition. If not, I'll just buy one brand new.

I have to drive 200 miles to get to what you see! My freinds have property about 100 miles away from the city, but its turning like you said, every 1/2 acre another new house.....By me in Davenport, NY everyone around me is a milk farmer or cattle farmer......Love it!

Ok here are some pics 3 weeks later.....Alot of rain but not too much hot weather.....The clover is EVERYWHERE! I dont know what the chicory or alfalfa look like when it germinates, but time will tell.....
