I live near a college town and they have an Ag program. This barn is on their farm located on the edge of town. It’s kept in nice condition.
About the same in good ole Stoutland MO. in the 70-80's. K-12 were on the same campus of 2 buildings, 3 if you count the cafeteria. My graduating class was one of the largest then, we had 40. Most had 20-30.Growing up in rural Oklahoma in the 50's, that wasn't unusual at all. I also saw a lot of hoops on the front of the barn, provided the barn was near the house. In those days, basketball was the most attended sport, especially in rural areas where facilities were at a premium and student attendance was low (we had about 75 in our whole high school).
A victim of the derecho? This barn looked in great condition as I rode up towards it, nice bright red siding but once I got close I saw it needed some help with the roof.
