Maybe you could get a job at Kubota. I wish this was standard equipment on my BX2660.

Does the lower links go all the way down and up without locking up? My lower drag links twist alot from up to down. I had to put a swivel at the aft. end so they wouldn't do it. Now they are free all the way down and all the way up. My 3pt wouldn't go all the way down when I got it and lockup tight when all the way up. The left lift rod was welded wrong. Yours looks right and you did a nice job. Sure takes some thinking doesn't it. Lee

I have a full range of motion up and down. I too was concerned about the tilt at the bottom. The pin that holds the stabilizer to the end of the lower arm is just a bit smaller than the hole in the end of the stabilizer. When I opened up the mounting hole in the arm I made it the same size as the on in the stabilizer. There is just enough play to allow the stabilizer to tilt enough to allow a full range of motion.

Looks good but I am not so sure that the split collars will stay in place. There is lot of side pressure in that area from the stabilizers when using a heavy implement. If it works you're good to go but you may end up needing to use solid spacers. I have a B3030 with those stabilizers and they work great. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe there is more force on the collars than I realize. I have the washers I need to fill in the space between the split collars. Did not have them when I did the conversion and have been too lazy to pull it back apart. I will probably pull it apart today and put them in and not have to worry about anything sliding.

Thanks for all the details. This swap is high on my to-do list.

Thanks for the post, and pictures. I have a B2620, and would like to do this modification when I can. In the meantime I had to buy a piece of 1", or so wide steel strapping with 5/16" holes down the center of it. I put some bolts in both ends, and left them sticking out an inch, or so, and secured them with locknuts. I can drop this over my lower armss to keep them spread while I'm hooking up implements alone. It works, but the stabilizer bars you have are MUCH nicer. Good job! Thanks!

I got off my dead behind and pulled the arms and spacers back off and installed a couple of washers to fill the space between the two split collars. Ended up using one .15" and one .25" thick washer. Made for a perfect fit.

I did this to my b7800 3 years ago and still believe it was the best money I ever spent on the tractor. At that time it only cost me $130. I really like the pins you have to lock it into place. Did they come with the conversion or did you purchase them seperately? Mine only came with drop-in pins with no retainer clips.

The kit came with drop in pins also. The ones in the picture are some that I had kicking around. I think I go them at the local hardware store at one time. If not I know that McMaster carries them.

Paul,
Now all you need to do is add the ratcheting adjustment fixture, like the one on my B3030, and you will have the whole package.
