That's some sweet equipment. I'm jealous! Makes me want to run out and pick up that new M series Vermeer and a new V rake I've been wanting. Must be something wrong with me because I cannot wait for hay season!
Did you get a good discount on slightly used?

I hear ya - I still need a cutter. Hoping for a nice used one, but I might have to end up buying new.

Picked up a MF/New Idea 2746A as a dealer demo. 1182 bales showing on the moniter. You have one of the cleanest looking JD's I have seen.

Looks like we both did well on our quest.

The baler basically look new except for one spot and some touch up paint will fix that.

I think I did well. The baler was $22,000. A new 468 would have run right at $31K. So, I can't complain. The rake was $2500.

It's amazing how the appearance of equipment affects its value. I'm surprised you got that good of a deal. That baler looks brand new.
Last spring I took my '91 JD 535 baler to the dealer for a tune-up. I keep the baler in the barn, out of the weather. At least 5 people tried to buy the baler while it was at the shop. My dealer said he would give me $11,000 trade-in for a new baler. Considering what a new one cost, I kept the 535. At least I know there's a demand for well-kept equipment.

Yeah- they hooked me up. Barn kept equipment holds its value much better.

My "new" stuff is sitting out.:( Tarped over but still sitting out. The shop if full of too much other stuff. Hope to get that situation fixed pretty soon. Got a $4,000 break on the baler as a demo, and picked up the rake at an auction, 6 months old, for $2750, about a $1000 of off new locally. If the new cord for my camera ever gets here I'll try to post a couple of pics.

I had to clean my shed out to make the new stuff fit.

Thanks, my dealer seems to do me right.

I am talking "turkey" about a disc mower later this afternoon. It should be interesting.
